
In 2022, the country ushered in a period of new beginnings. With the gradual reopening of the economy, the Philippines trod the path toward full recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the country welcomed the new administration of President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ R. Marcos, Jr. Immediately, the NEDA began working on the administration’s priorities for the next six years, building on the strong foundations and game-changing reforms passed in the last two decades. The agency played a leading role in coordinating efforts to guide the country’s transition to recovery and facilitate profound social and economic transformations.
As the country continues its steady progress toward achieving its socioeconomic goals, the aim is to sustain the momentum of high growth while ensuring the inclusivity of such growth by creating more resilient jobs of higher quality.
