The NEDA Regional Office (NRO) IX and Regional Development Council (RDC)  IX Secretariat held  a team building activity for  2015 facilitated by the Western Mindanao State University-Center for Continuing Education (WMSU-CCE) on April 21-23 at the Royal Farm Resort, Dipolog City.

The team building activity was conducted to guide and encourage the employees to work together as a team toward achieving the Agency’s objectives. The activity also aimed to develop the staff individually and collectively as an organization through the harmonization and consolidation of efforts, talents and resources for the attainment of the organizational goals.

Dr. Milabel Enriquez-Ho, WMSU President, spearheaded the WMSU Team. The other resource speakers/facilitators from the university were Dr. Raquel Tomasa R. Ho, Dr. Claire Madrazo, Prof. Clarissa Miranda, Prof. Fini Joy P. Buenafe, Dr. Mario R. Obra and Prof. Roberto Bondoc Jr.. Topics on self-awareness, developing personal effectiveness, values confirmation, characteristics of effective teams, communication processes, improving team effectiveness, transformative leadership, managing change, ideals of leadership, among others, were discussed during the seminar.

The speakers used structured learning experience, sharing and socialization games, among others, to better understand the subjects that were  discussed.

The workshop ended with an evaluation/impression and expression of commitment from the participants.  Certificates of appreciation and of participation were also held at the closing ceremony.
