For the fourth time, the NEDA Regional Office (NRO) X in Northern Mindanao garnered the 2015 Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Stakeholders’ Award as Outstanding Partner for Source of Information particularly on Reports on Regional Economic Developments. The award is already the fourth in a series, the first award was received in 2012. It is given in recognition of the awardees’ continuing provision of fresh, fast and comprehensive information for an effective regional environment scan that help BSP in crafting effective policies and various advocacy programs.
NRO X Regional Director, Leon M. Dacanay, Jr., received the award from the BSP Monetary Board Member, Honorable Juan D. De Zuñiga, Jr. and Assistant Governor Gerardo S. Tison of the BSP Regional Monetary Affairs Sub-Sector during the 2015 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders in Region X and Caraga on September 15 at the N-Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
Other recipients from Northern Mindanao were Desmark Corporation (Outstanding Respondent among Large and medium Firms) and Petronas Energy Philippines, Inc. (Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms) for regularly participating in the Business Expectations Survey (BES) by providing timely, complete and consistent responses. Liceo de Cagayan University was also recognized as the Outstanding Regional Partner for BSP’s Currency Programs and Advocacies for its clean note policy and coin recirculation.
