The NEDA Regional Office (NRO) XI is now an ISO 9001:2008 compliant organization. Its ISO-Certified Quality Management System covers major services on planning and policy formulation, project development, investment programming and budgeting,  and project monitoring and evaluation.

The NRO XI Certificate of Registration to ISO 9001:2008 was awarded on May 5  by the Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI), an affiliate of the British Company Certification Int’l U.K. Ltd., which provides management systems assessment and accredited ISO certification services to Philippine multi-national companies, including government agencies and other government organizations.

Meanwhile, the conferment by the CIPI of the NRO XI ISO 9001:2008 certificate will be held  during  the  awards  ceremony on 29 May at the Pinnacle Hotel and Suites in Davao City.  Economic   Planning Secretary and NEDA Director-General  Arsenio M. Balisacan, RDC XI Chairperson and Davao del Norte Governor Rodolfo P. del Rosario,  and other major stakeholders in  Davao Region were invited  to grace the occasion.

“Indeed, the ISO 9001:2008 Certification is a significant milestone that demonstrates NRO XI’s commitment to high quality management objectives,” said Regional Director Maria Lourdes D. Lim. “We believe that adherence to a QMS that is compliant with international standards shall further improve our services to satisfy the requirements of our stakeholders and motivate all NRO XI staff in achieving our quality objectives,” she added.

As an ISO 9001:2008 certified organization, NRO XI shall maintain its QMS that conforms with the standards and requirements on management responsibility, quality policy, resource management, product realization, continual improvement, and customer relations, among others.
