The Regional Development Council (RDC) VI Executive Committee (ExCom)  reviewed  the proposed budgets of the 22 regional line agencies and 11 state universities and colleges (SUCs)  for 2016  last March 26-27. The review is    required by the National Budget Memorandum No. 123 or Budget Call for FY 2016. The RDC VI Executive Committee (ExCom) chaired by Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. reviewed the proposed budgets particularly on the new spending proposals and the expansion of ongoing and existing programs and projects.

The RDC VI also conducted consultation meetings on the proposed programs and projects of the SUCs  on March 19  for consistency  with the technical education and skills development program  of  the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA),  research and development (R & D) in agriculture and fisheries by the Department of  Agriculture (DA) and the R & D in natural resources, environment, technological and engineering sciences by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Meanwhile, NEDA Regional Office (NRO) VI Director Ro-Ann A. Bacal and  RDC VI Vice Chairperson attended the Agency Central Offices and RDC Forum on March 31  where priority infrastructure projects endorsed previously by the Council but remained unfunded were endorsed  for inclusion in the final department budget proposals of the DPWH, DOH, DepEd, DA, and DOTC.

The RDC VI endorsed budgets of the Agencies and SUCs will be forwarded to the DBM, Congress and Agency Central Offices for inclusion in the FY 2016 proposed national budget.
