Moreover, responding to the report on the status of the implementation of the various projects in Davao Oriental, Governor Malanyaon called on the RDC XI, as the primary institution that sets the direction of Davao Region’s economic and social development, to pass a policy action through its monitoring arm, the Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) XI, to address unnecessary delays and other concerns on project implementation.
Director Lim, on the other hand, assured Davao Oriental’s officials that issues and concerns shall be considered as part of the key agenda items in the meetings of the RDC XI and its Committees. She also added that the implementing agencies shall be properly advised on the issues raised, particularly to observe proper coordination with the LGUs in the implementation of their respective programs and projects.
The conduct of the Roadshow in the different provinces and highly urbanized city in the Region is part of the advocacy efforts of the RDC XI for the successful implementation of the Updated Davao Regional Development Plan, 2014-2016. The roadshow was pursued to effectively communicate, promote awareness and educate the various stakeholders of Davao Region on the Updated Plan. At the same time, generate support in the implementation of the Plan for the achievement of Davao Region’s goals and objectives.
Aspiring for sustained motivation among the various stakeholders in the Region, Director Lim explained that the Council believes that efforts like the conduct of roadshows for Plan advocacies shall contribute significantly in achieving the desired results for its implementation, particularly in generating affirmative action and local initiative through further collaborative efforts among various development stakeholders.
