Ways to maximize the full potential of the services sector, as part of the Global Value Chains (GVCs), was discussed during the Regional Conference of Services Coalitions on 7 September 2015 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Cebu City.

Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) officials, business leaders, small enterprises, users of services, and services organizations gathered to introduce the concepts of a new APEC services agenda to business stakeholders.

During the conference, representatives of business organizations, focused on services, also shared their views and experiences on their organizations’ domestic and international operations.

Socioeconomic Planning Secretary and Structural Reform and Ministerial Meeting Chair Arsenio M. Balisacan served as one of the panelists on the discussion of Structural Reform and Services as drivers to shape the 21st century APEC.

Lastly, Deputy Director General Emmanuel F. Esguerra, convenor of APEC Group on Services, delivered the concluding remarks.
