Economic Planning Secretary and NEDA Director-General Arsenio M. Balisacan and Deputy Director-General Emmanuel F. Esguerra met with officials of the European Union (EU) Commission last June 4 to discuss how the Philippines can improve its competitiveness and increase its attractiveness among EU investors. The meeting was held after Secretary Balisacan’s speaking engagement during the First EU-Philippines Business Dialogue at the Raffles and Fairmont Makati. The EU contingent was led by EU Directorate-General for Trade Helena Koenig.
